I'll dominate 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Former two time world boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I will injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the novice is still one of the sport's largest financial successes, consistently making huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the customary face-off, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really going ahead.
